Work environments are no longer just an IT or AV problem. With the entry of Microsoft and Cisco into the conference room space, and the inclusion of audio visual technologies in most meeting rooms, it is more important than ever that IT and AV personnel learn one another’s buzzwords and business since, like it or not, the two are being forced to work together. What are the principles around building rooms, providing equipment and creating an environment that will facilitate communications? How should AV integrators and installers be prepared to interact with IT departments and network infrastructure?
