Custom-programmed AV control panels have been the default in conference rooms for decades, but they also bring complexity, high costs, and inconsistent user experiences. As organizations scale, these bespoke solutions create more problems than they solve, from longer deployment cycles to constant retraining of end users.

This session explores how organizations are shifting away from one-off panels toward standardized, enterprise-wide approaches. By using collaboration touch panels as the consistent control interface—integrated directly with devices or backend control systems—AV teams can deliver the same user experience in every room.

We’ll share real-world lessons on simplifying user training, enabling intuitive multi-platform conferencing (Webex, Teams, Zoom, SIP, and more), and knowing when to go direct-to-device versus centralized control. Attendees will walk away with a practical framework for designing rooms that are easier to use, easier to support, and built to scale.
