This session is an interactive class showcasing several microphones with a focus on where each is best suited in the real world for the best-possible audio. We will listen to each type of microphone and discuss where each are best put to work.  We will look at shotgun vs lavalier mics, hypercardiods on a boom vs omni directionals in a studio environment and how to best plan for your audio production. 

Who should attend? All producers capturing audio in the field or studio, recordists, anyone involved in audio components of production.
