Big, beautiful, bright direct view LED displays are gaining prevalence but frequently don't look good when recorded on camera.  Yet so many broadcast studios use DVLED for virtual backdrops and multiple feature length films are using these DVLED volumes with huge success.

Why do some of these displays look great on camera and others look awful?

This presentation will dig into the technical reasons why some direct view LED displays look amazing when video recorded.  The presenter will offer methods for designing successful deployments and will talk about strategies to use when the DVLED hardware is not optimized for video recording.  This discussion will help specify cameras and which cameras are going to provide better outcomes.

When completing this session, participants will go home with at least four concrete ways to make any DVLED look better on camera along with three key elements to DVLED design so anyone can design better on camera LED experiences.

While presented by a DVLED expert, this session will be agnostic to all specific brands of LED, Cameras, and Studio environments while focusing on industry best practices.

Admission is subject to room capacity and available on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
