AVIXA Foundation 5K Walk/Run

Join us on June 14 for a fun race event to benefit the AVIXA Foundation, in partnership with rAVe Publications.

Date: Friday, June 14

Start Time: 6:00 a.m. Participants are required to finish in 90 minutes or less.

Course: A loop around the back of the West Building of the OCCC. Download a course map.

Be sure to pick up your packet, bib and t-shirt on Tuesday, June 11 from 1 pm – 5 pm or Wednesday, 10 am – 5 pm. These items must be picked up prior to the race. Please bring a copy of your confirmation email and ID to the AVIXA Foundation 5k Walk/Run registration desk located on Level 2, Hall E/F Lobby. All participants are required to sign a waiver in person in order to participate in the event.

Awards: Top 3 Women and Top 3 Men for best time in the race, PLUS a special award for Best Team Spirit.


Pre-race Pricing: $35 (Students/Children: $15)group of runners

Onsite Pricing: $45 (Students/Children: $25)

This is a family-friendly event. Every runner must have a registration. You do not need to be an InfoComm attendee to participate.



TEAM PRICING - As low as $25 per person pre-race!

Bring your team! We welcome groups of five to nine for a $5 discount off each registration, and groups of 10+ receive a $10 discount off each registration. Please designate your team online when you register ("Click on "Add Team Member.") There will be a prize awarded for Best Team Spirit!

The AVIXA Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization operated for the public good on behalf of AVIXA. The Foundation has recently begun developing global campaigns and programs to increase the awareness of AV as a career and develop the next generation of the AV professionals.

The Foundation does so by:

•           Creating AWARENESS of the opportunities that abound through a career in the global AV industry

•           Fostering ENABLEMENT of potential workers through skills training, scholarships and school support

•           Developing a BRIDGE between the industry and those who want to become AV professionals

Q: Can I walk or jog the AVIXA Foundation 5k Walk/Run?
A:  Of course! You can participate in the event any way you choose as long as you can finish the course within 90 minutes.

Q: What are the minimum and maximum ages?
A: The AVIXA Foundation 5k Walk/Run is a family-friendly event. There is no minimum or maximum age.

Q: What should I bring?
A: Wear you running gear or “team” clothing. Everything else (bottled water and snacks) will be provided by AVIXA/InfoComm 2019.

Q: What do I get with my registration?
A: You receive a AVIXA Foundation 5k Walk/Run t-shirt and refreshments prior to and post event.

Q: Is there a team or group discount?
A: Yes! Discounts are given to groups of 5-9 runners and 10+ runners.

Q: Do you provide refunds or credits?
A: We do not provide refunds but we are happy to reassign your registration to another team mate or individual. You may transfer your registration to another individual up to 21 days before the event by emailing us your request.

Q: Is this race timed and are their awards?
A: The top 3 males and top 3 females to cross the finish line win awards! There is also an award for Best Team Spirit--so if you're part of a team, show your enthusiasm with a great team look!

Q: What happens if it rains?
A: We still run.  In the case of heavy rain or thunderstorms we will contact you via the e-mail address you provided.

Q: What about spectators, kids and pets?
A: The event is family-friendly and spectators are welcome to cheer on the participants.  Pets are not permitted during event hours.

Q: Can I sponsor the race?

Q: Do I need to be an InfoComm exhibitor to sponsor the race?
