InfoComm Veterans: Your InfoComm Experience

InfoComm Veterans: Your InfoComm Experience

Patty WanzerEven if you've attended 5 (or 25!)  times, there's always something new and exciting to discover at InfoComm. We asked Patty Wanzer, former InfoComm team member and long-time show attendee, what she's looking forward to at InfoComm 2021.

Here are Patty's top picks:

Education Sessions

Steve GreenBlatt and Kelly Perkins will be presenting a very important topic this year (in light of the changed dynamics of people and post COVID-19). They will be covering the new approach to hiring and retention during their session, "Recruiting, Retaining and Mentoring Employees: Three Part Workshop" on Wednesday, October 27.  For us to grow as an industry and gain the respect it deserves, it starts with the people within. This is a must-attend three-part course for all that look to help improve and foster future leadership in AV.

Brad Malone is offering "Project Management for Executives, Account Managers, and Sales" on Tuesday, October 26, for 3 RUs.
InfoComm note: this is a new Premium Workshop

The list really is endless—there is something for everyone!

EXHIBITS

I cannot wait to see all the new announcements that exhibitors make on the show floor every year that InfoComm debuts. Many plan all year and use InfoComm at the platform for all their new product announcements and this year (after the lull) will be like no other! It’s a must-see event that can’t be missed. Come out and feel the excitement after months of being locked down!

NETWORKING

Another favorite is all the networking we can do after the (unwanted) hiatus. I was at a show in May and never stopped meeting and greeting! Now in October of this year, InfoComm will bring everyone in the pro AV industry under one roof. The AVIXA Diversity Council Networking event is free to all attendees and our mission is to ensure that everyone feels welcomed.  You can also get involved and help spread the inclusion we offer as an industry and how we look to improve/grow every day!
