Attendees will learn techniques and practices to market and deliver "experience" instead of just “projects”. The workshop will use presentations, project profile cases studies, short videos from project leaders, group exercises with discussion, and tools to use in sales/marketing, project management, and strategy. Presentations will include content necessary to understand the other sections of the workshop (marketing, selling, managing). We will then have three sessions outlining an "experience" project profile, a short video presentation of a significant challenge for that project, followed by small group discussion of the challenge and short reporting back to the larger group. Each of the three sections will focus on a specific business challenge in marketing, sales, design, or project management. Each of the three sections will use an example of an audio project, an AV project, and a group communication project such as a classroom or other learning environment. The tools will focus on marketing, scope and proposals, and managing customer expectations. A wrap-up exercise will focus on next steps for the attendees after the workshop. Each attendee will receive a workshop binder including presentation slides, project profiles, and worksheets for use in small group exercises.
