IT and Networked AV Learning Spaces
This session will dive deep into the why, how, and when of exploring other control system solutions for classrooms and learning spaces at higher education institutions. Learn how Indiana University deployed almost 100 spaces that broke the mold of our traditional control system model. IU developed criteria for evaluating AV control system solutions including total cost of ownership, training, support, warranty, scalability, and features. We’ll give you the tools to identify control system solutions that are out in the market that may provide greater benefit to your team and users. Review the design, installation, and support phases and share Indiana University’s experience with this process on a large scale, and examine the benefits of keeping with existing AV standards and manufacturers or if branching out to explore alternative control systems would provide greater benefit to your institution and users.
