Design and Integration
Video walls have become an essential component in today’s control rooms where organizations need dynamic, scalable, and reliable access to various data sources and video streams. This presents many challenges, such as how to efficiently manage and bring content into the control room, as well as ease of use for accessing data and adding new content. Gone are the days of large matrix switchers, dedicated PCs to create and drive content, and cumbersome user interfaces. Today’s best practices include network-based, node-based architectures, and using IT toolsets to bring content in natively through the network. In addition, by providing an improved user experience operators can manage content quickly and reliably, allowing them to focus on the task at hand without worrying about the technology. This panel brings together thought leaders to discuss how network-based video wall deployments have changed the landscape of control room visualization and improved situational awareness. They will highlight solutions that are available today and how to select the right technology for these mission-critical spaces.

Learning Objectives
  • Understand the difference between traditional AV over IP technologies and network-based video wall processing technologies.
  • Learn the value of network-based video wall processing over traditional monolithic video wall processors.
  • Learn best practices for bringing data streams and video into a control room video wall system.
