Social engineering (SE) is defined as any act that influences a person to take an action that may or may not be in his or her best interests and is the method of utilizing human behaviors to engage in cybercrime. This workshop will introduce attendees to the SE topic, tactics and persuasion techniques used, SE playbooks, and relevance to cyberattacks and cybersecurity. We will look into real-world scenarios of how Social Engineering and its understanding can help technology managers to be adept as Cybersecurity practitioners.
The workshop will share case studies on a variety of Social Engineering topics. Attendees will also engage in a safe, ethical, and fun hands-on social engineering activity built on an AV industry-specific premise. The session will have the opportunity for open conversation, QA and will leave you with actionable deliverables to implement in your work environments.
