Learning Spaces
On this 90-minute tour, participants will experience some of the most innovative educational spaces at the University of Central Florida. Learn about our Faculty Multimedia Center where faculty can test out cutting edge technology, and our Sandbox classroom designed as a space to test technology in a live class environment. Get hands-on with our Lightboard, touch overlays and Crestron NVX screen sharing. Participants will then have the option of visiting Trevor Colbourn Hall, the prototype for the UCF Downtown campus, or head over to the Engineering building which includes the Lockheed Martin Cyber Innovation Lab and advanced Maker Space labs. After the tour, participants will have an additional 30 minutes to freely explore the campus before heading back to the buses and returning to the convention center.
Learning Objectives
Speakers
- Build Knowledge of Existing AV Solutions: Guests will build on their knowledge of existing AV solutions in the higher education space to identify client expectations on their own projects by providing examples of other installations.
- Understanding Client Needs: We will explore what works well and what does not from end users, faculty, and administrative staff. This will help with gathering customer information and creating a project scope.
- Network AV in Educational Spaces: Guests will gain an understanding of how networked AV can be used to adjust the way classrooms are used quickly and easily and what it takes to integrate these systems into new or existing spaces.
