Session Description : You know what IGMP is now let's dig into the network switch to verify and test our multicast. This intermediate/advanced session will present tips and tricks for using the information in the network switch to determine if multicast traffic is correctly flowing through the network. Looking at the total bandwidth of a link we can predict if snooping and querying is functional. We will provide a basic mechanism for figuring out how to measure the bandwidth on a link. These very specific functions are available in nearly every managed switch, and they can be a huge help when troubleshooting multicast traffic. Please take a basic IGMP class before taking this class.
