Session Description : The past decade has seen various real time networking protocols rise to maturity in live sound and audio use cases. These protocols have been proven effective in diverse applications that benefit from their respective strengths, but they are difficult to implement together. For networked audio applications to evolve and reach their full potential, that must change. In this panel session, experts who have worked to shape today’s AV network protocols, such as Milan, AES67 and IPMX will present the future outlook, including how companies and organizations can work together to support openness, interoperability, and ultimately network convergence. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how to implement open standards-based audio networks; how audio networks will evolve in the near future; and how to get involved in shaping those changes.
