This session will explore the barriers stopping effective meetings and offer solutions for how to drive voluntary office attendance, staff retention and motivation. From flipcharts to AI, support structures and devices and platform challenges, the team will identify solutions to avoid commute regret and ensure meeting spaces are truly walk-up-and-use. Collabtech will present findings from research which concludes that just 9.4% of meeting rooms are collaboration ready, despite the fact that unified communication solutions now being mission critical to the new era of business. The session will also examine the new role of AV or IT teams, with the research identifying a global shift in requirements and problems associated with meeting devices and platforms. The findings show that only 44% of calls are originating from IT Professionals and 29% of tickets are related to platform problems only. The session will conclude that consistency to ensure meeting environments are truly walk up and use to drive useful office interactions will be essential to drive voluntary office attendance, rather than changes to contracts dictating the number of days employees should be in the office.
