(SOLD OUT) How to Design an AV over IP Network
This session will explore the challenges facing a system designer who wants to expand an AV-over-IP system beyond a single network switch. How is bandwidth managed? How is multicast handled? These challenges will be carefully laid out followed by best practices and solutions to ensure success.
A major challenge for multi-switch AV-over-IP is that, out of the box, many multicast protocols will flood the network with multicast data. That’s OK if your streams are small, but not if they are large video streams! It’s simple to design an AV-over-IP system with only one network switch, but things get complicated when you need to support hundreds of endpoints over multiple switches. You’ll learn to manage complexities and discover how easy it can be to build massive AV-over-IP systems that scale to any size.
