Hear from Higher Ed AV professionals with decades of experience “in the trenches” providing top-quality services with limited resources. They will share the strategies and resources they have used to optimize budgets and save money while still creating high-quality AV experiences for their students, faculty, and staff. The primary areas of focus for this session will include:

1) Design: Strategies and examples of value engineering without cutting corners

2) Install: Strategies to balance the use of in-house labor and the scope of contracted labor.

3) Support: Internal methods and structures to minimize recurring costs

4) Resources: Where to find intellectual and material resources to stretch your budgets

After a brief outline of these strategies, a panel of Higher Ed AV professionals will join the discussion with audience collaboration, so bring your questions! Attendees will leave with actionable items they can put into practice and get connected to communities of colleagues to continue the conversation and share successes.
