New Broadcast AV Enterprise IT

The market is fully immersed in implementing IP-based media in both hybrid baseband/IP systems and entirely IP-based systems. This trend is happening at the highest levels of experiential Pro AV all the way to small and medium business communications and collaboration, and everything in between.

One important revelation of the migration to IP-based media systems has been the re-introduction of a compatibility gap between three related but different asset classes. In this session, we will discuss the two most important mitigating measures being taken to restore compatibility between equipment classes, while retaining all the benefits of migrating to IP-based systems in the first place.

Some of the protocol and media options that will be covered include: • ST 2110 • NMOS • IPMX • AES67 • NDI • Dante • SDVoE • HEVC/SRT … and more.

We will present options for IP-based media systems across disparate asset classes, show how to build those systems, and provide information on where to find further resources for training.
