Design and Integration

For many involved with the design and deployment of customer spaces, project sign-off is the end. It’s when the range of sales, procurement, legal, accounting and project resources close the chapter on a project and hand it over to service and operations teams as a job well done. But how do you know that deployment has been a success if you don’t know what you wanted to achieve in the first place,  if you don’t know how your users will approach or adopt the technology or if it really meets end-user goals and ambitions?

This session will explore how to design operational excellence into room or space specifications. It will discuss how you assess what ‘excellent’ looks like for your client, how you can take a consultative approach to post-deployment use of systems and how you consider a range of user groups to ensure you are designing an optimal experience for in-life use.

The session will deep dive into success metrics and how you establish those early in the design process and manage adherence to those throughout the design and deployment process. It will cover understanding user profiles and engaging with client service and operation teams to manage those unique insights from the outset.

The presentation will also focus on how you objectively measure success of spaces using a range of tools to collate qualitative and quantitative data, and how to reliably report on the success of a project or deployment. It will also touch on how to manage changing user and customer needs throughout the lifecycle of an installation and best practice for ensuring client spaces deliver on-going value.

The session will outline why this is important for AV businesses and how, by taking a strategic approach to operational excellence, integrators can grow, differentiate and win more business.
