New Design and Integration

Unified communications (UC) platforms and the desire for organizations to have desktop-level simplicity in their conference, collaboration, and meeting spaces have exponentially increased the use of the Universal Serial Bus (USB) beyond simple input and control. USB-C has become the default choice for many professional products, designs, and applications due to its flexibility and high data transfer rates. However, similar to the early days of digital video and consumer-level HDCP standards, there are several behind-the-scenes factors to consider when designing what was architected for consumer applications and applied to professional implementations. Mix in legacy USB standards and connections, and it’s a bit of the wild-west when it comes to successfully integrating what is not as universal as intended. This class will focus on equipping attendants to better leverage the power of the latest USB standards to improve integration outcomes.
