Using AI to Automate Announcing, Messaging and Translations
Venues and events must keep up with offering content which can be consumed and appreciated by people who speak and read various languages, are deaf or hard of hearing, or can hear well but have limited sightedness. This presentation will show how AI can help solve these problems by first educating the audience on the unique details of each challenge, and then how various AI tools from Machine Learning to Generative AI to synthetic and modeled voice creation can be used to make spoken and written content more accessible to more people, across languages and across different audible and display formats, via both human and automated methods. Firstly the audience will learn how AI is used to generate live on-site / in-venue captions from the spoken word. They will then learn how live AI-assisted translation can convert those messages into multiple other languages in real-time. Then the fun begins when we use Generative GPT AI to take limited event or content information and embellish upon it to build rich bodies of text and synthetic voices to inform or entertain audiences, especially when apply different human voices styles, genders and accents which can open up vast new areas of creative expression with just a few keystrokes, or be fully automated. The audience should walk away further educated on how AI can improve accessibility to multi-format, multi-lingual messaging today and find useful creative ideas for the future, where AI can be a useful tool bringing more capabilities and content to more people, in real-time, for better experiences.
