The lines between broadcast and AV are getting blurry and hybrid systems that converge networking protocols are becoming more prevalent. However, SMPTE 2110 is still a fairly unknown and often misunderstood technology in the AV world. This session will provide a primer of the standard, its main characteristics, architecture and critical aspects to provide a baseline understanding for AV professionals.
