RUs CTS: 4 CTS-D: 4 CTS-I: 4. Are you new to Higher Ed AV (design, management, or engineering) or do you simply want to add structure to the stack of sticky notes and spreadsheets you’ve been using to keep track of your AV projects? Join a cohort of your peers from colleges and universities for a crash course on the AV project process.

We’ll review AV project structure from beginning to end, addressing needs analysis, project scope, setting expectations, project documentation, and everything you actually need to do to make your project successful—all from the unique and multi-role perspective of higher education AV. We’ll also discuss some best practices related to support, proactive maintenance, Division 27 specifications, and institutional standards to consider throughout an AV project.

This is an activity-based workshop, so there’ll be lots of discussion and small group work to develop sample documents and procedures you can take home with you.
Speakers
Christopher Dechter, Manager, Instructional Technology - University of Wyoming
Larry Darling, Classroom Technology Manager - UNCG Information Technology Services
Raj Singh, Manager AV/IT Design & Engineering - University of Southern California
