Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

AVIXA™
, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, and producer of InfoComm shows around the world, is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion. As a member-driven association, we are using our talent and resources, as well as that of our industry volunteers to be a voice of change — and that includes the content we produce and actions we take at InfoComm 2024.

WHY INCLUSION IS IMPORTANT AT INFOCOMM

We believe in creating an inclusive event where attendees interact with diverse speakers and have access to a wide range of amenities. We strive to look beyond the title of our speakers and invite them to share their unique message. Inclusion matters because everyone deserves to belong and for their story to be heard.

OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION:

At AVIXA, we believe in taking action towards more inclusive events. From our attendee experience to our speaker lineup, we have kept inclusion in mind at every step of the journey, which include wellness rooms for medical needs, gender neutral restrooms, and more. Please check back with us for details.

ACCESSIBILITY AT INFOCOMM

InfoComm is ADA compliant. If you need a visual, auditory, mobility or other accommodation, please let us know when you register for the show – there will be a section asking for information about specific needs you may have.

ANTI-HARASSMENT POLICY AT INFOCOMM

AVIXA, the owner of InfoComm, is committed to providing a professional environment free from physical, psychological and verbal harassment. AVIXA will not tolerate harassment of any kind, including but not limited to harassment based on ethnicity, religion, disability, physical appearance, gender, or sexual orientation. This policy applies to all speakers, staff, volunteers, guests, members, contractors, exhibitors, government and attendees at AVIXA conferences, meetings and events.

Harassment includes but is not limited to offensive gestures and verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, inappropriate photography and recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome attention.

If you experience or observe harassment at InfoComm, please report the conduct to InfoComm show management, any AVIXA staff member, or email alert@avixa.org as soon as possible. This enables us to investigate and address the conduct. AVIXA may take any action they deem appropriate, ranging from a simple warning to expulsion from the current and/or future AVIXA meetings, conferences and events.

Read the full Anti-Harassment Statement as part of the InfoComm Show Rules which must be adhered to by all participants.

DEI at InfoComm 2023

AVIXA will continue to demonstrate its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion at InfoComm 2024. At the show, the AV community will experience more of the manifestation of AVIXA’s dedication to DEI through powerful conversations, diverse voices on stage, and programs to reach diverse youth.
