Adam Salkin
Adam is an Emmy award winning designer of large-scale TV and Radio video/audio systems for the broadcast industry. In his 30+ year career he has designed fixed and mobile systems for BBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, DirecTV, Fox Sports, Apple and many more.
Adam graduated from University Central Lancashire, UK, with a BSc(Hons) 1st, Industrial Information Technology and was then recruited by the BBC Project Engineering department. While there, he worked on diverse systems, from fiber optic links, telemetry, and high power radio and TV systems. He left in 1996 to join Sony Systems Integration where he led teams on numerous projects; designing, installing and testing some of the first HD studios, video server systems, multi-studio/multi-channel digital broadcast systems and large broadcast trucks.
When Sony closed their SI department in December 2003, Adam was one of two engineers who helped start the west coast office of Diversified Systems. In the first year he was lead engineer for four highly praised High Definition trucks that have been used by ESPN, Fox Sports, and others to cover major sporting and entertainment events. Since then, Adam has been lead engineer on many high profile projects such as NBC’s “The Tonight Show”, Apple’s Steve Jobs Theater, Directors Guild Theater. Most recently he was lead engineer for Fox Sports’s mobile 2110 system that covered Men’s FIFA World Cup Soccer in Doha, Superbowl 2023 and Women’s FIFA World Cup Soccer in Australia.
