Ernie Bailey is a seasoned audiovisual (AV) professional with more than 40 years of experience in the industry, bringing deep technical expertise and strategic leadership to modern learning environments. Over the course of his career, he has played a significant role in advancing AV practices in higher education and has contributed to the broader industry as a past member of the InfoComm (now AVIXA) Board of Governors.

Currently, Ernie manages a team of 10 AV technicians supporting two academic health sciences campuses. His leadership spans a wide range of services, including in-room and remote support for approximately 200 classrooms, ensuring seamless technology experiences for faculty and students alike.

In addition to classroom support, Ernie oversees production and live-event services, including livestreaming and postproduction, enabling high-quality content delivery for academic and institutional events. He also leads the design and installation of advanced audiovisual systems for classrooms and lecture halls, helping institutions stay at the forefront of educational technology.

Ernie’s extensive experience, combined with his hands-on leadership approach, makes him a respected voice in the AV community and a trusted advisor in the integration of technology into learning and collaborative spaces.
