George Ray

George Ray is the Senior Solutionist- LED at Evolve in Orlando FL. He is CTS, NCE, and Absen certified.
George has been a live event engineer for thirty-five years. He started his career with PMA Industries in Providence RI. PMA provided live sound reinforcement, lighting, and multi-image slide equipment for corporate and concert clients.
In 1990 George relocated to Orlando FL as an Entertainment Technician for Walt Disney World. 
From 1991 through 2000, George was a video engineer and projectionist with TAVS/ GE/Caribiner/AVHQ. These years saw the transition from composite to component video and CRT through LCD to DLP projection.
In 2000, George started at LMG. Over 17 years he helped LMG move into digital video, high-resolution switching, and into LED. Over a six-year period, he was critical to the expansion of the LED inventory from 86 cabinets to over 4000. This expansion included extended trips to the factories in Asia, working directly with manufacturers like Unilumin, BasicTech, ROE and others.
In 2017 George moved to Evolve. His responsibilities include training, R&D, and manufacturer relationships.
During 2021 and 2022 George was the lead Engineer at Vu Studios. He was responsible for the design, build, and programming of all of Vu’s virtual production volumes during that time.
In January of 2023, George returned to Evolve. He continues to focus on emerging LED technology and developing partnerships throughout the LED industry.
