Israel Fletes is the Director of Teaching and Learning Initiatives at the University of California, Riverside. With over 30 years of dedication in the technology support field and a First-Gen student himself, Israel brings a unique insight to achieving customer success from integrating traditional practices to reinforcing a renewed commitment to academic technology and student-centric initiatives encompassing instructional design, digital media and student facing technologies. Current initiatives include faculty engagement, teaching innovations, as well as adoption of learning management system and enterprise academic technologies. Israel completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of California, Riverside and is an acting member of the Society of College and University Planning (SCUP) & Directors of Educational Technologies, California Higher Education (DETCHE).
