Jeremy Laurenson is a Distinguished Architect in Cisco Global Collaboration Sales organization. He works with both customers and the development organization to ensure Cisco’s UC portfolio is both Customer Relevant and forward looking.
Jeremy has been directly involved in the incubation of several of Cisco’s Collaboration technologies such as Telepresence and Hologram, as well as key integrations such as that of Meraki and Thousandeyes into Control Hub. In addition, he has been lead DSE on technology partnerships with companies such as Google, Apple, Microsoft and IBM.
Jeremy has his CCIE #8849 in Routing and Switching and has over 30 years of experience within Cisco spanning Route/Switching, Security, Collaboration and Software with direct contributions to products in those categories.
Jeremy was directly involved in Cisco leading the industry disruption when Business Communications moved to IP, the move to Cloud and now is again involved with strategy and direction as Cisco embraces Artificial Intelligence technologies in disrupting the industry once again.
As a pioneer in mobile software, Jeremy developed of one of the very first applications to run on the PalmPilot in 1996 which became commercially available as Pocket Quicken and still maintains several app store presences.
Prior to Cisco, he was responsible for design, implementation and operations of the infrastructure to support several startups, and designed, implemented and managed Networks, Telecommunications, Server and Desktops for Creative Computers. As a result of running these systems for technology reseller with large contact center and distribution facilities, Jeremy has a deep knowledge of technology across various aspects of customers’ business.
