Jim Gillis is an AV industry veteran with decades of solid, real world experience. Always striving for perfection, with attention to detail, a strong technical background and excellent communication skills, Jim has unique abilities to manage the needs of multiple teams with disparate perspectives to a common goal. In recent years, Jim has accomplished significant bodies of work in the Commercial and Ultra Hi-end residential markets. Consistently delivering large scale system design and integration to sprawling private estates for Silicon Valley icons in Hawaii, Pebble Beach and the San Francisco Bay Area, Jim has developed unparalleled knowledge of User Experience and user interface design. Jim has also provided significant design, engineering and integration for CBS News, as well as a long list of conference rooms, office networks, and signage for venture capitol firms in the Silicon Valley. Earlier in his career, while running the engineering department at Electric Lady Studios in New York, Jim helped start QFTV, a Plasma display manufacturer. As VP of Engineering, Jim worked tirelessly with Fujitsu and multiple national teams to develop and ship the very first Flat panel displays. Jim subsequently provided engineering guidance and assistance to Lucent Technologies Reliability Center in Denver CO. as well as Samsung In Seoul, S Korea.
