Jim Spencer is a Strategic Account Manager with Legrand AV and partners with higher education institutions across the Midwest to advance their technology strategy. He holds AVIXA’s CTS-D and CTS-I certifications and regularly teaches certification prep at InfoComm and online. Jim also holds AVIXA’s ANP certification for networking professionals.

Before moving to the corporate side of the industry, Jim spent 13 years at the University of Notre Dame. He started as a technician with central IT’s Learning Spaces team, moved to the College of Business as a designer and programmer, and later returned to OIT to support capital projects alongside the university architect’s office and facilities department.

With hands-on experience across every step of the AV project lifecycle and drawing from multiple facets of the industry, Jim offers a uniquely broad perspective and a practical approach to advancing how technology supports teaching and learning.
