John Beckmann is the Head of Product for Zoom Events and Webinars at Zoom Video Communications, where he leads product management for the company’s meetings, webinars, and live events portfolio. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, John reports directly to Chief Product Officer Russell Dicker.

John joined Zoom in early 2020, just as the platform experienced unprecedented global demand. As 'Head of Product for Zoom Meetings' during the pandemic he played a pivotal role in scaling the product management team and ensuring platform reliability during the pandemic surge, helping Zoom grow from a business communications tool into a household name.

Prior to Zoom, John built a distinguished career in product management across the communications and enterprise software landscape. He served as Director of Product Management at RingCentral and held a senior role at BlueJeans Network, giving him deep expertise in the video communications space. Earlier in his career, he was Director and Head of Product Management & Customer Support at ToutApp (acquired by Marketo), Senior Director of Product Management at Qualcomm, and VP of Product at iSkoot (acquired by Qualcomm). He began his product career at Good Technology (later acquired by Motorola).

John holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University. He is fluent in German and French.

A self-described passionate builder of well-designed, simple-to-use software for both consumer and enterprise applications, John brings over two decades of product leadership experience spanning mobile, enterprise communications, and collaboration platforms to his role at Zoom.
