John Douglas Jr. is an accomplished AV and IT Manager based in Houston, TX, known for his results-driven approach and leadership in audio-video technology. Currently serving as IT Manager II at Prairie View A&M University, John has revolutionized service efficiency, establishing and managing the university's AV department. With a keen eye for enhancing end-user experiences, he has successfully led multimillion-dollar upgrade projects across the university and implemented departmental standards for optimal performance. Beyond academia, John's diverse experience includes roles as owner of JDAV, a Production Assistant at DNA Studios, contributing to ESPN college football broadcasts, and previously an AV Specialist at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, where he was an intricate part of worship services and managed multimedia content. With a Master of Divinity from Houston Graduate School of Theology and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Xavier University of Louisiana, John's expertise spans digital signage, troubleshooting, editing, project management, live production, and more. He holds certifications in digital console engineering and Dante audio networking, and his contributions as a presenter and panelist at industry events underscore his commitment to advancing the field. He is currently pursuing his CTS certifications. John remains dedicated to staying at the forefront of AV technology and innovation.
