Jordan Colbert
Jordan Colbert is a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) with over 10 years of experience in disability services, assistive technology, mental health counseling, and higher education administration. Originally from Atlantic City, New Jersey, Jordan developed an early passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges. He earned his B.A. in Classical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters In Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC).
At USC, Jordan transitioned from Graduate Counselor to Assistive Technology Specialist, where he modernized assistive technology services campus-wide. He currently serves as Associate Director of Assistive Technology at Yale University, overseeing academic and workplace accommodations for the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, School of Management, and School of Architecture students. Jordan also leads a team of 100+ student employees in document remediation, technology training, and accessible database management.
A published accessibility expert, Jordan has presented multiple times at the AHEAD Annual Conference, chairs the Vendor Relations Committee for the Library Accessibility Alliance, and serves on advisory and inclusion committees at both Yale and Western Washington University. Outside of work, he enjoys reading philosophical literature, being a devoted cat dad, and following college and professional sports.
