Bio- Kameesha Jones is an AV Technician at Florida International University in Miami FL, and also an event technician for the Miami Heat. Prior to her employment at FIU, Kameesha has worked in many places over the last few years like working at New York University where she has done AV work for many celebrities such as civil rights activist Angela Davis, and rap artist Meek Mills. Kameesha has also work at the world famous Metropolitan Museum of the Arts in New York where she was worked many events such as an opera and many grand opening for museum exhibitions. With Kameesha success she never forgets where she comes from, born and raised in Miami FL in an urban community, Kameesha calls herself lucky that she made it out and didn’t let her environment be the narrative of her life. Kameesha received her Masters from Florida International University in Music Production and Management and a Bachelors degree from The Great Bethune Cookman University in Music Technology. On Kameesha down time she volunteers at her old high school (Miami Northwestern Senior High) music department with hosting master classes in saxophone and also mentoring young girls in the urban community where she sent over 100 girls to college in the past 4years. Kameesha hopes to be a pillar in the AV higher Ed community where she will be an advocate for HBCU’s (Historically Black Colleges & Universities) and under represented high schools.
