Kevin Schornhorst, Director of SLED at AVI-SPL is tasked with supporting the local offices across North America speaking to best practices, standardization, pedagogy & procurement methods in higher education, K-12, State & Local Government. Kevin is a resource for contract vehicles ensuring AVI-SPL is positioned across North America. Additionally, Kevin heads up training & information sessions that help focus on our customers and the AVI-SPL teams to bring best practices for everyone. Kevin has over 20+ years of experience working in the AV world. He has experience as a K-12 Video Productions Teacher / Auditorium Manager, Healthcare AV Specialist, Extensive Video Production experience & most recently he spent 7 years as an AV Engineer at one of the nation’s largest and most diverse universities, Georgia State University. Kevin has experience in Project Management, AV Design, Integration, Vendor Relations, Commissioning, Support and Life Cycles, AV Budgets, AV Design, State and Local contracts, AV metrics, Programming, Producing & Directing video productions.  Kevin is a graduate of Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications and a minor in speech communications
