Mark has a seasoned career with nearly 40 years as an A/V professional.  He started as a teenager doing city council meetings and sports for cable television.  He then earned a video production certificate from Hennepin Technical College in Minnesota and a Bachelors degree in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin Superior.  He then spent nearly 20 years in production and rental for an a/v integrator in the Minneapolis area.  He then moved into higher ed about 12 years ago at Macalester College.  First, managing events from an av perspective and classroom technology.  About six years ago, his position was split into a second, and eventually a third position for events so he could focus on managing classroom technology. He now manages 140 classrooms, conference rooms and other event spaces.  On June 1, 2024, he was promoted an AV Classroom Engineer.  He is married and has 2 adult children and 2 adult step-children.  His daughter graduated from Macalester in 2023 and his son is studying mechanical engineering at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.  His spouse Kerri teaches nursing at Rochester Community & Technical College in Rochester, MN.  He spends his free time with family and at the family's camper near their home in southeast Minnesota.
