Speakers

Owen grew up in Auburn, CA just outside of Sacramento and attended the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biology and master’s degree in Biology with an emphasis on Anatomy and Physiology. Prior to joining the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV in 2022, Owen served as Head Teaching Assistant (TA) for the anatomy lab at UNR, and an instructor for lab and lecture at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) before being promoted to Lab Coordinator/Lab Manager with UNR in 2019. He oversaw the lab inventory, purchasing of equipment and specimens, and assigning of TAs and dissection assistants to the 30+ lab sections for undergraduate anatomy while continuing his role with TMCC.
