Rachel McLendon
Rachel McLendon is an International Representative with the IATSE Broadcast Department, where she advocates for broadcast professionals and advances organizing initiatives that strengthen the stability and standards of freelance sports broadcast technicians across the United States.
A proud Charter Member of IATSE Local 444, Rachel began her career as a broadcast technician, spending 15 years covering professional and collegiate sports for major networks including CBS, FOX, and NBC. She was first organized into the IATSE in 2015 while working with the Golf Channel and transitioned to full-time union work in 2018, focusing on her commitment to the labor movement.
In her current role, Rachel works collaboratively with IATSE Locals, industry partners, and national stakeholders to support organizing, contract enforcement, and professional development efforts within the broadcast sector.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Alabama.
