Richard Perks began his career in the technology field in 1985 with Hughes Aircraft Company which was a defense contractor that designed and manufactured weapons systems along with providing test range support to the USAF and Navy. In 1999 Richard transitioned from military electronics to the hospitality industry joining the Venetian Casino Resort in Las Vegas in where he was on the original opening team managing the AV team supporting the property’s Music & Page system. Richard then moved into the Design & Construction team in 2006 to manage the Palazzo distributed audio design and integration for both the low rise and luxury suites. In this role Richard deployed one of the largest NION networked audio systems in an integrated resort. In 2008 Richard was assigned to the Sands Bethlehem Casino project in where he designed and performed the integration of the first US deployment of a Dante network which entailed installing Audinate’s Dante DLM cards into Peavey NION DSP processors. In 2016 Richard then joined the Resorts World Las Vegas’ Design & Construction team where he provided owner design direction to low voltage and AV project consultants the property’s low voltage infrastructure, DAS, GPON, and AV system design. Throughout construction Richard also managed all AV scopes for the project. He ultimately moved into an operations role as Director AV Infrastructure where he supports events from a technology perspective and provides design and project management to all new AV and low voltage projects at Resorts World Las Vegas.
