Scott Simmons
Scott has 35 years of telehealth experience in the government, academic, and private sectors includes telehealth operations, systems engineering, program and product management, training, research, evaluation, and leadership. He has presented and published extensively on various aspects of telehealth, is a Fellow of the American Telemedicine Association, and is a member of the Telemedicine and e- Health Journal editorial board.
Prior to joining HP|Poly, Scott was Chief Telemedicine Architect for Medweb, Director of Telehealth at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine, and Assistant Director of the East Carolina University Telemedicine Center. Scott began his career at Johnson Space Center, where he led the development of the Telemedicine Instrumentation Pack, NASA’s first space-certified telemedicine system. He holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Houston.
